What Are Working Tax Credits (WTC)... And Do I Qualify?

Working Tax Credit (WTC) is a payment for people in theUnited Kingdomwho are working, and on a low income. It is paid by HMRC, and can either be paid directly into your bank or building society account, or into a post office card account.

Can You Get Working Tax Credit?

If you or your partner are working enough hours a week, and your income is low enough, you can claim WTC. Obviously, you must be living in theUK, and if you are from abroad, you may have difficulty claiming WTC, depending on your immigration status.

If you aren’t sure about whether or not you are eligible to claim WTC because of your immigration status, please get in contact with us and we will be happy to help.

Depending on your circumstances, there are five different ways you can qualify for Working Tax Credit. To learn more about what the five ways are, please click here to download our free information guide.
