Internet Marketing Strategies - How We Use LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a fantastic place to meet new business people in your area. A lot of people say that LinkedIn is ‘Facebook for Business’, and in some respects, they're right, but in others they are not.
There is so much more to LinkedIn though; it is a place where you can go and get feedback on anything; your website, blog, products, anything – all you have to do is ask!
Now, in my opinion, LinkedIn is not somewhere you should be ‘selling’. I don’t mean this completely, but I don’t think LinkedIn is the sort of place you should be saying ‘10% discount on this or that’.
Instead, it’s the sort of place where you share useful information. And not just what you think is useful information; it should actually help anyone who comes across it, and not be a blatant sales pitch.
So, some of the ways we use LinkedIn:
- We ‘stalk’ people! – Not really, every time we meet someone new, we add them on LinkedIn, just because LinkedIn is a great way to keep in touch.
- We share our blog posts, usually once or twice a week, into groups. The groups we have joined are location based, and also interest based, so that we know when we send a blog post out, we will be reaching people that are interested in that particular subject.
- We use it to ask questions. If we don’t know something, need some feedback, or just want to conduct a bit of market research, LinkedIn is the first place we head to.
So, if you’re not already, get on LinkedIn! – It really is a fantastic place to meet new people, ask questions, and share anything that could be of value to your target audience!
